Each week the New Chapel congregation brings an item to church for the Clearinghouse in Scottsburg.
These items are :
1st Sunday of the month - Toilet paper
2nd Sunday- Toothpaste
3rd Sunday- Laundry Detergent
4th Sunday- Shampoo
5th Sunday - Cereal
New Chapel has a walking team in the Scott County Relay for Life, which is usually held at Lake Iola in June. Last year we raised $1,600 !! This year it is to be June 13th-14th. More details when they become available.
October 2007 a group from New Chapel including Pastor Jim and Carol, went to Mississippi for 1 week volunteering in hurricane damaged areas. It was a rewarding trip !
New Chapel United Methodist Women are collecting baby blankets to be given to Red Bird Mission .Those who would like to make a baby blanket or buy one, have until September to turn them in.
